The Mustangs defeated Pine City/Hinckley-Finlayson in their first round of the Section 7AA duals 70-9. They were defeated by their rivals Foley 43-18 in the semifinals. They graduated seven seniors last spring, including four section place winners and three super section place winners. They will have twelve returning with a wide range of experience, including eight section place winners and two super section place winners. They will have six back with double figure wins. If this crew stays healthy and continue to make strides of improvement they should make a challenge for section dual meet honors. They should challenge their dual marks from last season and for conference honors. Their key leaders should include: Anthony Nelson, Avery Nelson, Conner Gmahl, Nathan Nelson, Tuck Hass and Brock Folkema.

The Thunder Hawks defeated Virginia in their first round section 7AA dual 48-27. In the semifinals they were defeated by Princeton 70-6. They did graduate the section place winners last spring, but despite that loss they will looking to make a strong challenge for section 7AA dual meet honors. They will have back twenty with a great deal of experience, including ten section place winners and three super section place winners. They will have back nine with twenty wins of more. Their key leaders should include: Dusty Wilke, Justin Jobe, Conner Wakefield, Cayden Lehman, Tanner Morlan, Zach Wilke, Matt Rajala, Clayton Danielson, Tim Jobe and Phillip Keenan.

The Gobblers defeated Ogilvie in their first round section 7A dual 68-9. In the semifinals they defeated Holdingford on criteria 34-33. Royalton/Upsala defeated them for the section 7A championship 43-21. They graduated three seniors last spring, including three section place winners and two were super section place winners. They will have ten returning with a great deal of experience. This includes six with twenty wins or more, nine section place winners and six super section place winners. Also one state medal winner, they will be looking to challenge for one of those top four spots in the section 7AA dual meet campaign. They should improve on their dual marks from last season and challenge for conference honors. The key leaders should include: Marshall Larson, Nathan Trotter, Jack Grell, Kenny Erickson, Carson Kulhem, Jacobs Williams, James Erickson and Nathan Stifter.

Look for this young crew to make steady improvement over the season. If they stay healthy could pull a surprise or two at the end of the season in the dual meet campaign. They have nine section place winners and two super section place winners back.
